Americana

One evening in the spring of 2009, shortly before leaving the US to move to London, I sat down at the piano and improvised a series of short pieces. Reflecting back on them later, their simple melodies and robust harmonies struck me as having a uniquely American pioneering sound to them. It felt like the perfect token of life in the USA to bring with me to London.
